As an ASGBI Regional Representative, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Act as a liason between ASGBI and surgeons in your region, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met.
- Organise local events, workshops, and networking opportunities to promote knowledge sharing and professional development.
- Spearhead regional projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing surgical practice, education, and research.
- Advocate for the interests of surgeons within your region and contribute to national discussions on key issues affecting the surgical community.
You will be required to:
- Attend meetings of Council, produce written reports and contribute to the debate (maximum of two meetings per year).
- Attend Regional Representative Committee meetings scheduled to take place every two months
- Participate in such committees or working parties as may be determined and if so requested, represent the Association on outside bodies.
Term of Office: Two years with an option to extend and/or apply for a further 2 years.
