Congress - BJS Prize

BJS PRIZE
The BJS Prize recognises outstanding surgical research and provides authors with the opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience at the ASGBI Congress. Following abstract review, selected authors will be shortlisted for the prestigious BJS Prize. Shortlisted authors must submit a full manuscript to BJS/BJS Open as part of the Prize process. Manuscripts are reviewed ahead of Congress by BJS editors and ASGBI Executive Board representatives.

Final judging is based on both the full manuscript and the presentation delivered at Congress.

If you are considering applying, we strongly recommend that you watch this video HERE to find out more about the publishing process. Find out more HERE.

I am deeply honoured to have delivered the BJS Lecture at the ASGBI International Surgical Congress. Emergency surgery is a field where every decision counts, and having the opportunity to share knowledge and experience with the ASGBI audience was incredibly rewarding. It is truly inspiring to be part of a community that values collaboration, education, and innovation, and to contribute to advancing care for emergency patients.
