This procedure provides a standardised and safe approach to the shortening and management of closed wound drainage systems. It is often referred to as the “cut and bag” technique.

Mr Geoffrey Roberts, Consultant Emergency General and Upper GI Surgeon, Oxford, will lead us through live footage from a case, providing expert guidance along with tips and tricks to improve informed decision making. Ms Hollie Clements, Oesophagogastric Research Fellow & Surgical Trainee, Dundee in the commentary booth to discuss the procedure and ask probing questions.

Mr Giles Bond-Smith, Consultant General and HBP Surgeon, Oxford and Mr Phill Pearce, Consultant Emergency and HPB Surgeon, Oxford will lead us through live footage from a case, providing expert guidance along with tips and tricks to improve informed decision making. Mr Jared Wohlgemut, ST6 General Surgery, Glasgow and Joint Vice President, The Moynihan Academy, will join Mr Bond-Smith and Mr Pearce in the commentary booth to discuss the procedure and ask probing questions.
