Zeeshan Ahmed is a Specialty Doctor in General Surgery at University Hospital Crosshouse, NHS Ayrshire and Arran, Scotland. He graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, and holds FCPS, MRCS and FRCS (General and Upper GI Surgery). He has experience in emergency, general and upper GI surgery, with additional exposure to Transplant Surgery and Organ Retrieval at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He completed a postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership, Education and Research from De Montfort University.
Zeeshan has held leadership roles including Chief Registrar at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and has held roles including Deputy Chair of the BMA Scottish SAS Committee. He is actively involved in research, audit, and surgical education, with presentations at national and international meetings.
As an SAS Lead, Zeeshan aims to increase the involvement of SAS doctors in the Moynihan Academy and ASGBI, and to support the development of SAS doctors in surgery.
