Dr Umair Rashid is a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. Dr Rashid holds Fellowships from both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd) and the European Board of Surgery in Coloproctology (FEBPS).
His clinical interests encompass general and emergency surgery, colorectal cancer surgery and pelvic floor disorders. Dr Rashid is also actively involved in research, with contributions to studies on faecal immunochemical testing (FIT) and emergency general surgery protocols. He has authored multiple publications.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr Rashid serves as a trainer for the General Medical Council (GMC) and the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA), as well as a JAG-accredited UGI endoscopy trainer.
