General Surgery ST5 – East of England
Georgios studied medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece, where he also completed his PhD in bowel anastomosis healing, investigating the effects of stem cells and platelet-rich plasma in high risk anastomosis. He is currently a General Surgery ST5 registrar based in East of England Deanery. His research interests and passion in general surgery have led to numerous publications and presentations at national and international journal and conferences. As a research lead in the Moynihan Academy, Georgios strives to support surgical research, mentor trainees, and driving innovation in the field. In his spare time, he enjoys football, hiking, and traveling.
