Faiza is a General Surgery ST6 in Yorkshire with a strong interest in hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgery, liver transplantation, and Emergency General Surgery. She has an active academic portfolio, with ongoing research in colorectal liver metastases and surgical education, alongside a growing focus on innovation in training and assessment. Having completed her initial surgical training in Pakistan before progressing through UK national training, she brings a broad, international perspective to surgical education and workforce development.
Faiza is actively engaged in national surgical education through teaching, mentorship, and programme leadership. As Educational Lead for the Moynihan Academy, she has led the development and delivery of high-impact, trainee-focused initiatives, including national courses, webinars, and masterclasses aligned with ST3 and FRCS preparation. She is particularly committed to advancing structured, accessible, and inclusive training pathways, with a focus on preparing trainees for consultant-level practice and shaping the future direction of surgical education.
