Elizabeth McLennan

Vice President

Elizabeth is an ST4 trainee in General Surgery currently working in the West of Scotland, and has been actively involved with the Moynihan Academy since its inception. Having held multiple committee roles, Elizabeth has contributed to a range of initiatives centred on excellence, inclusivity, and trainee support and has most recently served as General Secretary (2024–2025). 

Previously, as LED Representative, Elizabeth developed the Family Matters in Surgery webinar series, promoting discussion around work–life balance, LTFT training, and parenting in surgery. Elizabeth worked as the MA CORESS fellow for the past three years, contributing the research output of the committee with work completed in this fellowship. As Education Lead, she spearheaded the inaugural EGS Symposium, now an established educational event. She has a strong interest in medical education and is passionate about inspiring and supporting the next generation of surgeons.
