Dr Ahmed Marzouk is a Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon based at Altnagelvin Area Hospital in Northern Ireland, where he has served since 2019. With over two decades of clinical and academic experience, he is recognised for his expertise in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) and bariatric surgery. His clinical specialties encompass gallbladder and biliary surgery, abdominal wall and groin hernia repair, benign oesophagogastric antireflux and achalasia surgery and diagnostic UGI endoscopy.
Dr Marzouk holds academic appointments as an Assistant Professor of General Surgery at Cairo University, where he is actively involved in publications, education, training and clinical audits. He is also the current Clinical Lead for General Surgery at the Western Health and Social Care Trust and serves as a postgraduate tutor for surgical training.
