I am a general surgeon based at Eastbourne District General Hospital where I have been a consultant for 20 years. Appointed in 1989 with speciality interest in gastrointestinal, endocrine and vascular. I now do mainly colorectal and endocrine surgery.

I was elected your regional representative in 2006 for a four year term. My role is to act as your representative, to sit on the council of the ASGBI and represent your views and concerns to them. I was elected Treasurer of ASGBI and began my five year term of office in 2007.

I am chairman and managing director of ASGBI Trading Ltd. This raises income for the international bursary scheme run by ASGBI.
