Regional representative:
Mr Edward Kiff
I am a colorectal surgeon based at the University Hospital of South Manchester in Wythenshawe where I have been a consultant for 24 years. I was elected your Regional representative in 2007 for a four year term.
My role is to act as your representative and be a conduit to the Council of the ASGBI. I sit on Council and am keen to represent your views, concerns and comments directly to them.
There are two Regional Regional Surgical Societies.
The Surgical Section of the Manchester Medical Society meets monthly from October to April on the first Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm.
The Manchester Regional Association of Surgeons meets at each of our hospitals in rotation every six months. The format is a morning in theatre, an afternoon of scientific papers followed by a dinner in the evening.
