There will be a display of Scientific Posters in the Central Hall throughout the Meeting, representing the following categories:

Topics for Short Paper Submissions
	Basic / Applied Clinical Science		Cancer / Surgical Oncology
	Chronic Disease		Education / Training
	Emergency Surgery		General – First Class Service
	Minimally Invasive Surgery / Ambulatory Care		Perioperative Care / Nutrition / Metabolism
	Sepsis/Immunity		Surgical Audit
	Surgical Complications		Technology in Surgery
	Trauma / Critical Care		Vascular / Ischaemia-Reperfusion

There will be a number of Poster Prizes, with the winners each receiving a cheque for £100. Adjudication will take place during the meeting, when presenters will be expected to stand by their poster to answer questions and discuss their work. Further details will be sent to all poster presenters prior to the meeting. Adjudication will be carried out by members of the Scientific Committee and representatives of the Specialty Associations and Societies in General Surgery.
