Short Paper Presentations
There will be the usual sessions for short papers at the Congress. Abstracts should not have been presented elsewhere at the time of submission.
All presentations throughout the International Surgical Congress will be delivered using PowerPoint format and authors will be sent detailed guidelines prior to the conference. Failure to present an abstract, unless it is formally withdrawn at the time that acceptance is notified, will be taken seriously.

The 2009 International Surgical Congress sees the continuation of E-posters, introduced at the 2008 meeting, for those posters marked Posters of Distinction (the highest ranking posters as adjudicated by the Association’s Scientific Committee). Posters of Distinction are to be presented orally in poster sessions and will be available to view electronically throughout the meeting, and following the meeting on the ASGBI website. E-Poster presenters will be sent detailed guidance notes in advance of the meeting.
The remaining posters will be displayed in the exhibition hall for the duration of the three day Congress.
Poster adjudication will take place between 11.00am and 12.30pm on Thursday 14th May 2009, when authors are required to stand by their posters to discuss their work with the adjudicators. Poster presenters will be sent detailed guidance notes on the adjudication requirements in advance of the Congress.
