The Association welcomes members from all surgical fields. We now have over 2300 members representing all surgeons involved in the general surgical care of patients, from training to consultant practice.

Fellows
This category applies to those who are engaged entirely in surgical work, in practice, teaching or research. They shall hold consultant appointments or be of consultant status, this to include associate specialists.
£360 per year
Corresponding Fellows
This category applies to those who live abroad, including Fellows in the Armed Forces who are posted abroad. Corresponding Fellows will be of consultant status.
£100 per year
£210 per year (including subscription to the British Journal of Surgery)
Affiliate Fellows
This category is open to those who are qualified medical practitioners and express an interest in a career in General Surgery.
£70 per year
£125 per year (including subscription to the British Journal of Surgery)
Associate Fellowship
This category applies to Staff Grade or comparable Surgeons. Associate Fellows shall be engaged principally in surgical work.
£150 per year
