Members
If and when the ASGBl ceases to be a charity per se (which would not prevent it from being involved in charitable activity) it will be possible to provide many extra benefits to its members. A 'members-only' area of the website will be created which will act as a portal to deliver the following benefits, for example:
- An on-line directory of all Fellows, with hyperlinks to email addresses
- A facility to update your personal contact data
- On-line registration for meetings, with member discounts where available
- Discounts on post-graduate CPD degrees (MSc, MBA, MEd etc)
- Discounts on insurance available through accredited companies with whom we have arrangements
- Legal advice
- Financial advice
- Pastoral care helpline (on-line and telephone)
- Access to discounted products and services
- On-line surveys, enabling lobbying on government policies and where we could respond to consultation documents etc.
- Social events
- Access to e-learning
- Facility to create your own 'custom pages', so that, for instance, members could construct the ASGBI's homepage to give one-click access to their own internet page 'favourites'
We welcome the chance to develop these possibilities, once the appropriate business framework exists for us to proceed.
