This one day meeting explores whether surgeons have role
beyond the immediate clinical care of patients in making society safer from violence

Talks on cultural, political and military aspects of violence

Session 3: Responding to violence
Surgical responses, public education, political witness

Speakers include academic and research experts
on the political, social and human causes and consequences of violence
