Director Of The Scientific Programme-Elect
The Association wishes to appoint a Director of the Scientific Programme-Elect to succeed Mr. Rowan Parks when he demits office at the 2009 AGM on the conclusion of his four-year term of office.
The closing date for the receipt of applications (in the form of a covering letter and full CV) is Friday 18th April 2008 and it is anticipated that interviews will be held prior to the ASGBI 2008 International Surgical Congress in Bournemouth.
The post will initially involve shadowing Mr. Parks during the planning for the Association’s 2009 Congress in Glasgow (13th to 15th May 2009) when the successful candidate will assume the post of Director of the Scientific Programme and lead the continued development of the Association’s scientific programme for a period of four years. The post holder is also the Chairman of the Association’s Scientific Committee and a member of the ASGBI Executive Committee.
